They (CRI) were over the 8 weeks to process, but were apologetic and refunded my money...and posted my results for free! A stand out among companies nowadays for honesty.Just for your information...CRI testing confirmed my allergy panel and my wife's allergy panel done by a local M.D.I got no surprises, but my wife's test was VERY different than we expected, Later checking of birth records/service records/marriage records showed CRI was correct, in that here ancestry showed she was mostly south American (Peru).I opted for the maternal and y haplogroup testing and also no surprises therePeople want fluff, not facts, and I wanted facts....not fluff. I'm intelligent enough to do the research. I know my history back to mid-1500's. CRI DNA agreed with the research.I'm sorry that people aren't genetically what they thought that they should be. We're mostly mongrels if you aren't African, and I'm pleased that CRI seems to give a crap about honesty. It says worlds for them.Mark

I would not recommend this company and I suspect some of the glowing reviews and online reviews are simply advertising or fake. My major complaint is simply bizarre inaccuracy. I have a well documented genealogy back to immigrants from Brit Isles and a couple from Germany in 16th-18th century and a 23&Me report matched this, plus a couple of low percentage surprises. I just received the CRI ancestry report after having to complain that it had not been sent after 10 weeks. It looks ridiculous, with a higher French ancestry than British, a claim that one of my grandparents was Peruvian (I knew them all), one of my 19th century ancestors was Gujarati, and another about 1800 was Punjabi --all with "99% accuracy"! We all know that DNA may not match family "lore" and nonpaternity may be hidden, but if I had to choose accuracy between the 23&me results that match my documented genealogy and known American immigration history, and the CRI results that alleges multiple recent ancestors from remote parts of the world, its an easy decision. I would be happy to be provided enough documentation from CRI to convince me they are more accurate than 23&Me, but I am not holding my breath.

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THEIR HEALTH BUNDLE. I was quite disappointed with the lack of information for "health"...unless you care about whats the best way for you to diet. If that matters to you- go for it. That is their entire "Health" Section..how you should be eating or dieting..I'm legitimately sad and I feel ripped off. 23 at least gives you information on ACTUAL genetic risks such as Parkinson's or Dementia AND the Maternal /Paternal Haplogroups are included...CRIgenetics is an additional $83 EACH. Infact- 23andMe does everything CRIgenetics does and more Ancestry was great...but I just feel empty when in regards to my Genetic Health concerns...dont waste your money like I did

I purchased a DNA Collection Kit and Ancestry Background Analysis as a gift for my mom's birthday. She lives out of state so I will give that to her next month. Any way I was charged an additional $7.42 that appeared on my credit bill. When I called to inquire, the rep Christian saw the same total I thought I had owed. He then had to put me on hold to talk to his supervisor. After 20+ minutes, he came back and told me that additional amount was sales tax. I inquired why they couldn't estimate the tax like Amazon does. I told him that was not a good business strategy. He began talking about CRI's service. I told him I would not recommend the company and that I would write a review. Sounded like he began to argue with me so I told him not to argue with me and that the conversation was over. In addition, I keep getting additional emails to purchase other reports. I don't need to be bombarded. I thought the company got 4.9* after doing my review of several companies. Now, I am concerned what type of DNA results my mom will receive. I would not recommend this company since they are not transparent in their business dealings when making a sale. If Amazon can give you an estimated sales tax, then so can CRI Genetics! Look at what other customers are saying about the DNA test results they receive. If my mom's results are bogus, then I will have to call again. My first call was recorded by CRI.

This is Marie, I love the time frame on our DNA test. To me they did a wonderful job, I was totally shocked by the results of where we was from. My daughter and I could not believe it. We really looked at each other and laughed, and it shocked us completely. But I believe it, and my son, we was "Totally" shocked about his DNA. They did a great job, and the price was justified as well. I will recommend them to the rest of my family members. Thank You! MyHeritage.com for doing a great job.

Results are way off compared to other sites. I uploaded my parents results to gedcom and familydna and compared. All the other sites were similar to each other. Myheritage resulsts were skewed to a level not even my family tree supported. I did my own test at another site, and uploaded my dna to myheritage and gedcom. Gedcome matched the other site, and again myhertiage results were way off.Accounting for this bias, the results though were nevertheless interesting

Just an absolutely horrible experience. This site obviously has a bias set to its ratings. The math does not work with these ratings.

Don't waste your money on MyHeritage getting your DNA tested. I have traced my family tree back on both sides of my family pretty far. I have actual proof of being Cherokee since my mother's paternal grandfather was full-blood, her maternal grandmother was full-blood and there is also Cherokee on my father's side. My 5th gr Grandmother is listed in the Cherokee By Blood, Her granddaughter put in an application for the Eastern Cherokee tribe and they are listed on the Guion Miller Roll. Can't get much more Cherokee than that. My DNA results came back that I am zero % American Indian. Also said I am zero % Scottish or Irish yet I have my family traced back to the year 1068 and we are related to Sir William Wallace. When I called to complain and say I wanted a refund I was told that their DNA tests are quite accurate. I told the guy apparently they are not accurate or they would have gotten my DNA correctly. His excuse about not finding the Scottish or Irish was that more than likely my family originated in England and migrated to Scotland and Ireland. Uh... NO! I asked if he was going to change the history books and also let Mel Gibson know that he based his movie in the wrong country? As for the reason they didn't find any American Indian in my DNA he said that many Indians don't trust the white man and so they don't want to provide DNA samples to compare to. Ok, so how are other companies able to test for American Indian DNA. He then said there are over 500 tribes they don't have samples for. I told him that even if that were true, the Cherokee are one of the largest tribes in the U.S. They were one of the 5 civilized tribes. I told him that in case he didn't know what that meant, it meant that they were one of the tribes to adopt the customs of the white settlers and generally had good relations with them. They were one of the only tribes to have a written syllabary making it possible for them to read and write in their language. There are 3 federally recognized Cherokee tribes as well as some not federally recognized. So, how is it that they do not have ANY DNA from this tribe? He just continued to repeat to me that there are over 500 tribes that they do not DNA from to be able to compare to. I then asked him this - When MyHeritage very first started, how did they test their very first customer? Because if I was understanding him correctly, they needed something to compare to and if it was the very first customer then what did they compare to? I told him I felt their company is falsely advertising and that I wanted a refund. You can't advertise and charge people money for doing something if you aren't going to or aren't able to do it correctly. They are not able to test people's DNA correctly if they can not test for everything. He kept telling me how accurate their tests are but they are not accurate and I was very disappointed with the results. I will be posting this review on Yelp.com as well as Angie's List and any other review site that I am able to post on. I still want a refund and plan to call them again as well as write to them. It's unethical to charge that much money for something and not do it correctly. I want my money back so I can find someone who actually knows what they are doing and can test my DNA correctly. Don't waste your money on this,

Winner
